How can a functional medicine practitioner help me?

As a functional medicine practitioner, I predominantly work with clients alongside GP or specialist management, supporting health and wellbeing. Conditions supported include:

  • Gut & microbiome health
  • Hormone health
  • Fertility, pregnancy and postpartum nutrition
  • Chronic fatigue
  • Cardiometabolic health

My clients have often tried conventional routes without achieving optimal wellness. That’s where a complementary integrative approach can make all the difference. In this context, complementary means ‘in addition to’, not ‘instead of’ conventional medical treatment.

  • Evidence based nutrition & lifestle support
  • Online consultations throughout the UK

By blending my background in NHS clinical medicine with cutting-edge insights from nutrition science, nutrigenetics, lifestyle medicine and functional medicine, I help clients uncover and address the root causes of their symptoms. Together, we work towards meaningful, lasting improvements in wellbeing.

I offer a range of wellness programmes as well as bespoke one-to-one consultations, all designed to support your unique health journey.

My Story

When I began my medical career as an NHS resident doctor, one thought kept surfacing: So many of these conditions might never have developed at all. Time and again, I saw patients whose chronic illnesses had roots in lifestyle and nutrition. While conventional medicine is vital, especially in acute situations and emergencies, I found it often served as a stopgap for deeper, preventable issues.

This realisation sparked a passion.

I knew we could do more.

Driven by a desire to understand the role of food and environment on health, I pursued a Master’s degree in Human Nutrition, all while continuing to care for hospital patients. My research centred on nutritional assessment and outcomes in those with vascular disease. The more I learned, the clearer it became: nutrition isn’t just supportive. It’s transformative.

Determined to take this further, I completed advanced training in Functional Medicine through the renowned Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM) in the US. This approach equips practitioners to address the root causes of illness and to tailor care for the individual, not just the symptoms.

Today, I combine my clinical background with cutting-edge nutritional and functional medicine insights to help people not just recover, but truly thrive. I’ve seen first-hand how targeted, holistic care can restore energy, enhance resilience, and dramatically improve quality of life.
